Ancient Greece – Super learning day

The children of Year 3 at the Olive Primary School went back in time on Wednesday 4th February 2015.  Children and teachers, dressed as Greek Gods, Goddesses, Princes and Princesses graced the corridors of our school.

To start off the day, our children learnt a Greek song about Greek thinkers. Filling the air with their melodic tunes, they sang their hearts out. Following this, the children wrote a persuasive text to Mrs Yusuf persuading her that super learning days involve fun learning. Ready for their banquet, the children made fabulous laurel wreaths to wear around their heads.

After a scrumptious lunch, the children participated in a mini Olympics. During the mini Olympics, they participated in sports activities in authentic Greek style. To round off this fun-filled day, the children were invited to a lavish banquet to celebrate their day.

After the banquet, the winners were announced for the best dress.  In Ibn Ali, Aamina Patel and Hishaam Patel were the victors for their amazingly creative costumes.   In Ibn Malik, …………. and………… were the winners.
