Ibn Alee Autumn 1

Ibn Alee

A warm welcome to Ibn Alee’s class page!

On our transition day from year 2 to year 3, we discussed our future aspirations and created two fantastic displays, including a poem all about ourselves. Check out our fabulous class displays below.

WOW! In Ibn Alee, we feel very special as we have successfully completed our first half term in the juniors! Just a couple of months ago, we were the oldest infants in the school, and now we are in the juniors – how time flies! We have had an amazing start to this year, with so many exciting events going on. We feel so fortunate and privileged that the Olive school are providing us with unforgettable, memorable experiences.

We are really proud of our classroom and keeping it tidy, as well as learning from our fun interactive displays. Check out our classroom images below, which includes our topic wall displaying some of the fabulous homework we created about Ancient Greece.

Please read below some of the great learning taken place in our class so far this year.

Inspire Maths

This year, we are continuing to learn through Inspire mathematics. We are now able to explain and understand what numbers really mean and look like in the real world! Inspire maths is going to make us marvellous mathematicians. We may become maths professors soon after having the opportunity to using amazing, fabulous new resources as seen below, along with our regularly updated maths working wall:

World Science Day

As part of World Science Day, Ibn Alee had the amazing opportunity to take part in three exciting activities with each of the year three teachers. We learnt lots of interesting things about Science and our imaginations were captured with each of the super experiments. We investigated the science behind the self-inflating balloon, lava lamps and Oobleck ooze. Please see some photos below:
