Ibn Zubayr

Salaams everyone!

We have completed our first term here in Ibn Zubayr!!

We have settled in really well, although there have been tears along the way (mainly from Miss Slinger), we have done an amazing job and I think you will all agree these little nursery children have blossomed into fabulous reception children!! Miss Slinger, Miss Uddin and Miss Umar are so very proud!!

We have been looking at Christmas. We have looked at the Christian version of the story and we have also looked at the Islamic Nativity story.

Saarah: “We have learnt about Christmas, it was exciting”

We have been learning about time, we now know how to tell the time to O’Clock.

M. Yasin: “I like enrichment”.

In enrichment we made these marvellous clocks from paper plates.

In literacy we have looked at the story ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. We really enjoyed it. We then innovated the story and made it into ‘Daisy and the Three Squirrels.’

We went on a journey to complete Hajj. We had lots and fun experiencing the trip and we made Duaa throughout.

We went on an Autumn walk to Witton Park and had a lovely time observing the changes that happen in Autumn.

We have been doing lots of lovely PE lessons to help us stay fit and we have been observing the effect of exercise on our body.
