Ibn Zubayr

Welcome to Ibn Zubayr’s class page

This is our final term in Reception and it definitely has been an exciting one.  Come and have a look at the things we have been learning about.

Thank you Ibn Zubayr for all your help! Your Africa booklets really he helped me learn about Africa!

In literacy we have been learning about Africa.  After reading a nonfiction text we wrote our own travel brochure to help Mr Worry find out lots of information about his holiday to Kenya. He is definitely not worried about that anymore and he really enjoyed the trip!

In maths this term we have been learning lots of different things such as adding, taking away and estimating.  Here is a picture of some children estimating how many animals there are.  They then counted them to see if they made a good estimate.

We also have been learning about grouping numbers in different ways.  Well done Zulaikha you have grouped the bricks well.

Class assembly

In our class assembly we performed the story of how the elephant got his trunk.  All the children participated and spent a lot of time rehearsing and practicing their lines.  It was amazing to see how much more confident we are compared to our last assembly.
