Macmillan fundraising’s a piece of cake for Olive pupils!

Pupils and staff from the Olive School put the kettle on to raise over £900 for Macmillan Cancer on Friday 28th September.

Supporting the charity’s annual World’s Largest Coffee Morning event, staff and pupils shared cakes that they had baked.

Together we raised a staggering £920 for the cancer charity which is close to many people’s hearts.

Parents, pupils and staff provided some amazing speciality cakes to be sold, which were all consumed very quickly.

There was also the opportunity for pupils to share thoughts and write their best wishes for those they knew affected by cancer.

Hayley Walsh, Director of Leadership, said:

“It was wonderful to see our school community come together for this wonderful cause. I’m proud of everyone for going the extra mile to raise money to support the good work of Macmillan Cancer through a coffee morning. Incredibly decorated cakes were baked, and donations were made with such kindness and generosity. It really was a fantastic combined effort by our pupils, parents and staff.”
