Ibn Saad

Ibn Sa’d Summer 1

A warm welcome to our class webpage. This term has been filled with many thrilling learning opportunities.

This term, we have been looking at formal and informal letters. The children learnt all the features of a letter and learnt how we write for different purposes.  During our big write, children wrote a letter to Quentin Blake persuading him to come to our school.

In maths, Ibn Sa’d have been focusing on measurement. The children have been solving two-step word problems and using a range of strategies to help them choose the correct method to solve a problem. This term we have continued to carry out many maths investigation lessons to help children to deepen their mathematical abilities and to learn to use and apply their knowledge to real-life problems.

As the blessed month of Ramadan is upon us, the children have been learning all about the spiritual aspects of this month. The children have learnt many things related to this month and have written an informational text all about Ramadan. Moreover, the children in Ibn Sa’d have come up with individual Ramadan resolutions of how they plan to change themselves in this month.
