Pupils Go Dotty for Children in Need

Our pupils raised an amazing £1,600 for Children in Need by donating to wear spotty and brightly coloured clothing. They also enjoyed a visit by Pudsey Bear.

The young people have been working together to plan and deliver the school’s fundraising for Children in Need, while developing their own leadership and enterprise skills.

They gained valuable experience of motivating others by ensuring all the school’s year groups were engaged in the activities, and kept the fundraising momentum going throughout the day/week.

Julie Bradley, Executive Principal, of The Olive School, Blackburn, said:

“Raising £1,600 for Children in Need is a great achievement which will contribute to the charity’s outstanding work with the most vulnerable children. I am extremely proud of them all!”

Pupil Saira Yunis said:

“When we looked into supporting Children in Need, we realised there are young people who are not as blessed as us, so it was a fantastic chance to help them. We were very happy to see our friends giving money to charity. I hope we can make a difference to the lives of children that are less fortunate.”
