Parent Council

The Parent Council helps create and support our school’s unique sense of family.  This group of enthusiastic and dedicated parents are an integral part of the school community, assisting the school in delivering the best education for its pupils.

It is a forum for our parents to be actively involved in the development of the school, by providing honest feedback about our provision and working collectively on implementing new initiatives. No idea is too big or too small to bring to a meeting. In the informal atmosphere, the committee openly discusses activities and generates new ideas.  The Parent Council also discusses the positive promotion of the school within the community and social and fundraising events which help enrich the learning experience of the pupils at The Olive School.

Each year in September there is an Annual General Meeting to which all parents and staff are invited.  This is an excellent way of meeting people for the first time and hearing about the Parent Council achievements and plans. Committee Meetings are held each half term in the evening and everybody is welcome.

Dates of meetings are advertised by text message, on the school monthly newsletter and in the School Calendar.
