Star Community Hub

The school is currently closed until further notice, in line with Government guidance.

We are working with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council to support a number of Community Hubs to provide ongoing care for the children of critical workers and vulnerable pupils during the coronavirus pandemic. We have created a Star Community Hub at the site that we share with Tauheedul Islam Girls’ High School and Sixth Form College (TIGHS).

Our emergency education provision for children of critical workers and vulnerable pupils is being hosted at TIGHS.

Many parents working in critical sectors may be able to ensure their child is kept at home. Every child who can be safely cared for at home should be. There is no requirement for parents and carers working in critical jobs to send their children to school if they do not need or wish to do so.

If you have any questions about our emergency provision, please email keyworkers@oliveblackburn.staracademies.org
